Sony Xperia Z Specs – 5″ screen, water resistant, Dust proof, 13 MP camera

Sony has been a well known brand when it comes to buy electronic products like music systems, TV, cameras and mobile phones. If we talk about mobile phones particularly, first it ruled the world by releasing Walkman series mobile phones and now Xperia series is all set to compete with giants like iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Note 2. Decided to continue with Xperia series, Sony announced another fabulous smart phone, Xperia Z, in CES conference in January this year which they plan to float in the market sometime in Q1.

Sony Xperia Z

Sony’s flagship smart phone Xperia Z is all set to fight with existing smart phones like iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy series smart phones, BlackBerry Z10, Nokia Lumia 920 and raised an alarm for future coming smart phones. With a whooping 13.1 megapixels camera, 5 inches TFT capacitive touch screen, scratch resistant & water proofing technology, Xperia Z is going to top the chart, at least for sometime unless Apple releases its next generation iPhone or Samsung releases Galaxy S4 in near future which are assumed to be the close competitor of Sony’s flagship Xperia Z.

Starting with design, Xperia Z features 5 inches TFT capacitive touch screen having 1920 by 1080 pixels and 16M colours. Speaking about dimensions, it is 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm which makes Xperia Z fall under phablets category with weight of 146 grams. This much of weight is little more than other smart phone but it doesn't bother much. The main attraction of this stunning smart phone is its dust resistance and water resisting capability. Xperia Z uses Sony Bravia engine 2 technology that delivers better viewing experience by reducing noise and due to high contrast power.

Apart from above said specifications, it sports 1.5 Ghz quad-core CPU supported by Qualcomm chipset and 2 GB RAM to minimize time lag while multitasking. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expended to 32 GB with the help of microSD card. Xperia Z works on world best operating system, Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean version) which allows access to millions of apps and games at Google Play.

As far as battery is concern, it had been a problem with Sony mobile phone previously which now has been improved and Xperia Z features non removable Lithium ion battery of 2330 mAh. It can last upto 11 hours if you continue to talk however in standby mode, it can go upto 550 hours. It comes with lots of pre installed applications like Google Chrome, Gtalk, Google Search, Google play, Google map and much more. I hope this article helps readers of this blog to know more about Xperia Z.
