LG Optimus G Pro specs – 5.5″ massive screen, 1.7 Ghz CPU, Snapdragon 600 chipset

LG’s flagship Optimus G Pro will be available to purchase in Korea this week however; it will hit the US, Europe and rest of the world sometime in second quarter this year. With a gigantic 5.5 inches full HD IPS capacitive touch screen of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 16M colors, Optimus G Pro makes itself fall under Phablet category.


If we talk about operating system, LG Optimius G Pro runs Android v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean), needless to describe the advantages of having Android operating system in a smart phone. Having Android OS based smart phone gives access to millions of free and paid applications available at Google Play apart from other advantages that Android offers to its users. For example friendly UI.

LG Optimus G Pro features quad-core 1.7 Ghz Krait CPU powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset, the successor of Snapdragon S4 Pro which offers even faster speed. Together with 2 GB RAM, this amazing smart phone works lightening faster. It comes with a memory of 32 GB that can be further increased to 64 GB with microSD card and supports Bluetooth 4.0, DLAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/gn, microUSB 2.0 port. It also has 3.5 mm Jack.

Coming to the Camera, LG Optimus G Pro sports massive 13.0 Megapixels camera similar to Sony’s flagship smart phone, Xperia Z  which records full HD 1080p video @ 30pfs with auto focus and image stabilization capability. The beauty of Optimus G Pro is you can use Live Zoom feature that allows you to zoom certain portion of the video you are watching. It also features 2.1 megapixels front facing camera for self shoot and video chat with friends. The front facing camera can shoot videp 1080p @ 30fps.

All above said features/specifications are supported by huge Li-polymer battery with a capacity of 3140 mAh which is a non removable battery like other latest smart phones.
