Android 5.0 Lollipop Update on Galaxy S4

Well, we know Samsung didn’t officially say they are going to offer the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Galaxy Note 4, a tweet from the company suggests this. We’d say that it fueled speculation and it a subtle information, but when the company talks about Note 4’s Quad HD and adds so many lollipops in the background and the display… it’s pretty clear, isn’t it. If this was just a coincidence it would be the most unfortunate coincidence in the history, not to mention the most uninspired (and fired) designer. But it’s not.

However, since all we have is a hint, there is no way to know for sure when the update will arrive.

Here’s one fun fact about the new Android version. Although we’ve been calling it Lollipop for the past year, Google officially announced L is for Lollipop only less than two weeks ago.

According to Sundar Pichai, head of Android, this is the biggest and most important updates Android had so far. We are expecting a seamless experience across devices, be they phones TVs or tablets, but, as Pichai wanted to highlight, the handset will always be a priority.

One of the most important aspects design-wise is that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be based on Material Design. It will be more intuitive, more real. What’s really cool though is that it is available for developers to use it in their applications as well.

One thing that Apple was always better at was the unitary look. So this is where Google is aiming to take Android, by eliminating the fragmented way it looks currently.
